We leave for San Diego in about a month, but I have been planning for almost a month now! Honestly, the planning and anticipation are at least half the fun of going on vacation. We have a hotel, a car, and reservations at all but one of the restaurants we've chosen. San Diego looks like a fun and relaxed city, and we are excited about visiting for the first time. I am hoping that the heat wave they've been having will be gone by the time we get there.
I have decided to show the world just how anal-retentive I am by posting my (condensed) itinerary and google map. If you've ever been to San Diego, I would love your suggestions!

Love it, girl! You will adore San Diego! While we were on vacation, we met a girl who is training for her first marathon in San Diego. It made me think of you! You will do great!
