David and I celebrate our 7th anniversary today. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been married since 2002 and have known one another for nearly 13 years. We have literally grown up together.
Over the years, we’ve learned that marriage definitely takes work, and it involves much compromise. However, I am happy to say that there’s no one else I want to walk through this life with than David. He’s smart, sincere, dedicated, and funny. He inspires me to seek adventure and take risks in a way that no one else in my life has ever done.
I look back at how much has happened over the last seven years – moves, graduate school, jobs, vacations, pets – and I cannot believe how much more we have to look forward to. If one thing is for sure, the last seven years have shown us that there’s no predicting the future. If I have one wish, though, it is that David and I get to grow old together.
