I have not posted recently because I really have not had much to say. And, to be completely honest, I recently joined Facebook and that's taken up a lot (all) of my free time. There's something totally addictive about peering into the lives of people who have not even crossed your mind in years. Seriously, I must be losing my mind because I was going to tell you what's been going on over the last couple of weeks and I had to think really hard. Really hard. But now I remember -- I have been working. In between working, we made a rush trip to Amarillo over Labor Day weekend. David attended a party and I got to hang out with Mindi. Hanging out with Mindi is one of my favorite things, and really the only reason David could convince me to make the horrible drive from Fort Worth to Amarillo. Honestly, every time I make that drive, I cannot believe that people actually live in all those tiny towns in between here and there. It's just speed trap after speed trap for six hours straight. Mindi and I had a great time getting pedicures and catching up, and I wish we could do it more often. We probably would if it weren't for all those speed traps. Thank goodness for Southwest Airlines; without them, we may never see one another again. I spent most of this last week concerned about getting the swine flu. Two people at my office have children who have it, and I just know that they are incubating the virus despite the fact that they have no symptoms. It was a busy week at work, but I am never too busy to be concerned about catching this stuff. I figure it must be serious if the government devotes an entire website to the pandemic flu. Purell loves freaks like me. I woke up this morning with a headache, and I did not feel "right," so I basically hunkered down all day. I feel better this evening, but I don't think I will stop worrying about this until flu season ends in mid-2010. While I am home wasting time worrying about the flu, my hubby is in Colorado climbing the 14,421-foot Mount Massive with our friends Sandy and Genevieve. He was supposed to climb some other mountain, too, but he said that it was snowing too much, and, oh yeah, they are having an Oktoberfest celebration in Vail. Anyway, I don't need to say it, but David's life is so much more exciting than mine. Here's the photo he sent from the top of Mount Massive today:
Must be nice...

I had so much when you visited! Thanks for bringing Baby Boy's furniture and helping me pick out the bedding!
