Sunday was David’s 30th birthday. He’s entered a new decade and still going strong. I’ve been racking my brain for all the reasons that I love him. I am grateful to have known him for more than thirteen years and to have been married to him for nearly seven years. If you know him, you know he’s one-of-a-kind; a fascinating mix of quiet and loud, heavy-metal listening and classic book reading. It’s impossible to describe everything I love about him, but he is so many different things to me: He’s a wonderful classical guitarist (can't believe I don't have a picture). . . . . . who has an awesome sense of adventure . . .
. . . who is an outstanding athlete who does triathlons and beat Oprah in a marathon, but wears the free hats from the expos and races because he doesn't take himself too seriously . . .

. . . who loves his dogs . . .
. . . who loves people and has a remarkable ability to make a friend anywhere (even on the top of a mountain) . . .
. . . who knows how to relax and have fun . . .
. . . and who is well-read, well-educated, intelligent and a wonderful counselor.
But most of all . . . he’s my best friend on earth, and he's humble and honestly doesn't know how fantastic he truly is.
David, I am so thankful to have you in my life. Happy 30th Birthday!
