Update on Brennan

We had to hospitalize Brennan this afternoon. He had a very short seizure last night, followed by another short one this morning. Around 11:00 this morning, he had a major seizure. Our vet's office is closed, so we rushed him to the emergency vet clinic. We've had to leave him there so they can monitor him, and we'll pick him up in the morning and take him to our vet. He's not himself and David and I are devastated. Watching him have the seizure was one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. We felt so helpless. Although we are going to wait for our vet's opinion tomorrow morning, it is possible that we will have to say goodbye to Brennan tomorrow. We've been dreading this day, and we ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

  3. I am praying for you guys. I don't know if David remembers, but Mimi's dog Prince had seizures. They were able to control them with medication. I know this is probably different, but if they are able to control the seizures, he can go on. I don't know if people seizures and puppy seizures are different, but I'm had mine for 26 years and am fairly normal (I don't think you can call my abnormality to be caused by my seizures). Melissa watched me have one when she was 10. I know they can be really scary. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
